Why would someone want to purchase the Wii system? Well, if you have not heard they are the most fun thing as far as video games are concerned to come out in a long time. The Wii system offers players the chance to actually perform as one of the characters on the screen. While some have tried to get the players involved in the game and make them feel like they truly are the characters that they represent, the Wii is the first gaming console or system to completely base all of their games around this.

What Makes The Wii System Different?

Simple answer to this question is the controller. The “wiimote” as players have been calling it, is a totally revolutionary piece of technology. This remote allows players to control their character on screen in real time by moving the controller around the room. Swing it left, the character swings left, swing it right the character swings right. Games like bowling, golf, baseball and tennis have been taken to a whole new level. No longer do you have to wait for perfect whether to get out and hit the links. You do not have to endure disgusting bowling shoes or the awful smell to through a couple frames. Simply plug in your Wii system and away you go.

In addition to the sports games the Wii system is created by Nintendo so you know that Mario and Link will be there with all of the tradition their strong game series have maintained for generations. For the first time gamers can now truly become Link, swinging his sword or blocking with his shield. Players can throw his boomerang to disable foes or collect items. Racing and jumping as Mario with the new controller brings game play to whole new level. Jump in and take advantage of this exciting and revolutionary game system.

If you have not had a chance to look at a Wii system, go to any of the major retail outlets that sell gaming systems and see if they have one set up for you to try. Most of these places will let you play any of number of games there so you can see what the Wii system is all about. I guarantee that once you play you will be hooked. I have yet to see someone who within minutes of picking up a Wii controller does not have a huge smile on their face, most saying “I get it now.” So my suggestion would be for you to take a couple minutes, go down to your local game store and see what all the fuss is about.
